Data deletion

Account deletion & data removal guide

The Love & Lust app is a secure space where your personal data and shared experiences stay completely private. We follow best practices and industry standards to keep your data safe. As an EU-based company, we strictly respect and uphold your legal privacy rights under European law (GDPR).

If you use Love & Lust without creating an account, all data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

How to delete your account and data

You can delete your account and all your data at any time through the app.

Please note: Account deletion is final and permanent. This action immediately deletes all your data from our servers and cannot be undone. If you purchased Premium, your access won't transfer to a new account.

Step-by-Step deletion instructions

  1. Open the Love & Lust app on your device and log in.
  2. Tap the profile icon located in the top right-hand corner of the home screen, then tap on 'Delete account'.
  3. Confirm that you are certain you want to permanently delete your account.

After confirming, your account and all linked data are immediately and permanently deleted from our active databases.

Disconnecting your Google account

If you originally signed up using 'Sign in with Google', deleting your app account wipes your data from our servers, but Google will still show the app as a connected service. To completely remove the linkage from your Google account:

  1. Go to your Google Account Security Settings.

  2. Look for Love & Lust under the list of "Linked apps"

  3. Click on it and select 'Delete all'.

Data removal details

Below is a breakdown of what is permanently erased and what must be kept temporarily.

Data that is permanently removed

When you delete your Love & Lust account, the following information is permanently deleted from our active systems:

  • Account data & player profiles: Email address, player profiles, relationship profile

  • Cards: Saved cards, custom cards

  • Activity history: Games history, preferences, card interactions

Data that is retained (and why)

When you delete your account, we permanently wipe all personally identifiable data from our servers. However, a few records must be kept temporarily for legal or operational reasons:

  • Anonymized purchase history: If you purchased Premium, raw transaction details (like transaction IDs) are kept for tax and accounting purposes. Because your email is deleted, these records are completely anonymized, meaning there won't be an email address or name linked to the purchase.
  • Third-party payment records: Google, Apple, and our web app payment processors maintain their own billing records as required by law. We do not have access to delete data held on their platforms.
  • System backups: Our secure system backups may take up to 30 days to update and fully clear out the last remaining traces of your data.
  • Consent logs: When you first accept our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, we record your IP address and a timestamp as legal proof of your consent. We keep this secure log for up to 5 years after account deletion strictly as legal proof that we had your permission to collect anonymous analytics while you used the app.

Note on app analytics: Like most apps, we collect app interactions and aggregated analytics to understand user behaviour, monitor app performance and fix bugs. This data does not carry personal identifiers and is not selectively deleted.
